They will NOT grow a foot in a week and will NOT grow through your roof! 😜 The plant will grow only a few inches a year , depending on how well you take care of them. Things to know about sunlight for bamboo plant These bamboo plants DO NOT and WILL NOT survive in DIRECT sunlight. You should NOT place the plants anywhere where it will get direct sunlight. If it gets direct sun, the plant will dry up. Instead, the best places to keep them are in bright rooms and away from windows. Somewhere where sunlight enters the room but does not touch the plant directly, like a bathroom. Be wary of ceiling windows, blinds, and sunlight changing directions throughout the day.
